Viking Surcoat Thick Wool/Beige

The Viking Surcot also called apron-dress or smokkr.
100% cotton or wool, it was either tubular in shape, slit on the sides or with cups. A tenth century apron-dress found in Hedeby shows several sophisticated sewing techniques. Shorter than the dress, it was held together by straps. Often adorned with fibulae, it could be embroidered or/and braided.
Care: Washing 30° inside out without spinning, shape when drying. Be careful if it is wool, wash cold.
